Executive Committee

The Executive Committee’s roles and responsibilities include:

  • Approve and monitor the progress of the conference against the agreed project plan
  • Resolve any significant issues associated with the conference
  • Provide leadership and assist to attract international sponsors and delegates

Members of the Executive Committee include:

  • The Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Stephen Yarwood (Chair)
  • Adelaide City Council CEO, Peter Smith
  • Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure CEO, Rod Hook
  • European Cyclists’ Federation President, Manfred Neun
  • Velo-city Series Director, Bernhard Ensink

Managing Committee

The Managing Committee’s roles and responsibilities include:

  • Select and engage a Professional Conference Organiser to execute the project plan
  • Approve the conference project plan and monitor progress against the project plan
  • Manage the performance of contracted parties
  • Resolve any significant issues associated with the conference
  • Provide leadership and assist to attract local, Australia wide and international sponsors and delegates.

Members of the Managing Committee include:

  • Adelaide City Council CEO, Peter Smith and Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) CEO, Rod Hook (Co-Chairs)
  • Conference Director, Adelaide City Council GM, Sandy Verschoor and Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure Executive Director Mark Elford
  • Bike SA CEO, Christian Haag
  • Velo-city Series Director, Bernhard Ensink
  • Velo-city Series and Event Manager

Organising Committee

The Organising Committee’s role and responsibilities include:

  • Develop the project plan for endorsement by the Managing and Executive Committee
  • Implement the agreed project plan and monitor progress
  • Escalate any issues and variances to the budget or project plan to the Conference Director and or the Managing Committee for approval. 

Members of this Committee include:

  • Conference Director (Chair)
  • Project Manager
  • Velo-City Series & Event Manager
  • Adelaide Velo-city Global 2014 Program Manager
  • Professional Conference Organiser.

Program Advisory Committee 

 

The Program Advisory Committee’s role and responsibilities include:

  • Contribute ideas, share knowledge and recommend speakers in a dynamic online environment
  • Provide feedback on programming concepts and learning processes.

Members of this Committee are from a range of different organisations and disciplines.
